Fax tones, repeated calls

Nothing there. Fax ring tone.

Here's a great idea I learned from other posters...and it works! They'll gladly take you off their list, and you get some revenge at the same time.
Use a word processing program, like 'Word' and paste into it a large section of dark black images, or just black out the entire page (read lots and lots of toner here!)
Copy the image 10-20 times, and fax it to the # they consistently call you with (in this case 866-324-8417)
Repeat as you feel necessary. (Evil grin). Believe me, after they've received dozens of pages of blacked out images, or solid black pages (uses the most toner) they'll call you and BEG you to stop.
I always tell them to PERMANENTLY remove me from their 'harassment' calling lists and I'll quit faxing them.
It's worked several times for me. It's sad that a simple call with a polite request doesn't do the trick. Try this and let me know how it works out for you!

fax machine

I have been getting fax machine calls from this number for years and am at my wits end to know how to stop it. we don't even have a fax machine connected to our home number. I assume that they are a business faxing special deals... trying to sell something and we are on the do not call list so they out of conform with the current do not call laws. there should be something that can be done about this but to my knowledge noone has been able to stop these intrusive calls. they fill up my answering machine with forever going beeps so when i receive a real call, there's no room for them to leave a real message! if anyone knows how to stop the calls...please, tell us all.
