legit #, calling to determine charges on debit card. Called # on back of card and verified legit call

Caller: Bank fraud line

I received this call and it was legit but I was afraid to answer the questions and hung up to call my bank direct. They confirmed there had been activity in a different state. Even though I know this number was okay this time I will still never answer ANY questions in the future, but hand up and call the number on my debit card direct. We have received phone calls with the caller ID showing our land line number as the caller (with their call coming in on that line). My bank assured me that it is always best to hand up and call them direct.

This is a legitimate fraud monitoring business. If you are wary, call the number on the back of your card.

Smaller local financial institutions will use outside vendors for Fraud Monitoring your debit cards. Your bank may not be able to verify if there has been "suspicious" transactions, until your card has been locked.

They asked for my name as it appears on my card, the phone number they originally contacted me at, and the last 4 of my SSN. Basic information to verify that it was me. Then they go through a list of suspicious transactions, asking whether I made them or not. After that, they asked if I wanted to take a short survey about their service, I said no. They thanked me for my time, the call ended, and my card was no longer suspended. Shortly after, I verified with my bank that this is an actual company that they do business with.

BAnks do not and never will send an automatized voice call to you if there is possible credit Fraud. They always call with a real person to ensure the information is accurate and secure

robo call with weird sounds at the beginning of the call. message stated that I was my bank's fraud department calling about possible fraudulent charges and to call them back with a case number that was given. They knew my full name and bank name. I did not call them back after reading different encounters from other people who received the a similar call from the same number. On reverse phone look up it shows as a credit union called Security 1st FCU out of TEXAS. I am in California and there seems to be different names of companies for this same number. I don't know what to believe. There are only 3 branches in my county and the number on the back of the card is only usable during regular working hours, so all I can do is leave a message and call back tomorrow when they are open.

This is a legitimate business that credit unions subscribe to. And, when they called me it did turn out that I had fraudulent activety, but I managed the entire event directly with my bank rather than trusting a robo call about fraud.... but it is legitimate

It is actually the fraud department. I made a purchase on eBay and the item had been processed as international. They did flag it because of the small amount and I have not made purchase outside of the United States. I called my local bank to verify and they did give confirmation of what was going on.

I thought they were real since my account had been hacked before. I hope they can't get into my account!

Valid call reporting fraudulent activity on my debit card. I did not trust it and called my credit union, which gave me the same information.

It is real. They called my cell, I hung up thinking scam. Then they called my home phone. They provided info on my wife's recent charges and all matched. It flagged as possible fraudulent, due to charges in two states (she was traveling).

This company is hired by my bank to monitor card activity. I tried to use my card on a website outside the USA and now they are trying to contact me for more info. This does not mean a scammer has not spoofed their number for some one else here.
