This is definitely not spam. I called the number on my Macy's card and they confirmed that it is them. I then called the number and sure enough, there was unusual activity on my account. I confirmed it was indeed me and the payment went through.
This is not spam, this is a real alert. I just got this same text and phone call, I then called the number printed on the back of my card and they confirmed that a fraudulent charge was attempted in the same amount said on the text. I then closed the Macy’s card.
This is a scam....been contacting me since the security breach!
I think you might be wrong. I got an email from my Macy's AMX had declined a purchase made in the UK on my card and they had put a stop on my card until they could verify it was I who made the purchase. I had. This call came in within a minute of that email, but was blocked. So, unless a scammer is watching my card like a super hawk............
They sent me the following text -

I replied 2. Here's the follow up text.
