Received calls over several days. left no message. believe this to be a telemarketer

They called, said that it was Verizon calling and that the call would be recorded, asked for my husband by name and I said this is not his phone and hung up!
yup they called no message.
Caller claimed to be Verizon. Tried to acquire account info including my PIN number. Obviously a scam.
