Received a call saying they were calling from Direct Consumer Group. Gave me the number 877-641-0469 to call along with a file #. When I called they said there was a civil suit against me I owed $587 to some bank. Never heard of the bank...when I started asking questions they hung up. Scary part is that they have my social security number. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions

A woman named "Anna Ortiz" called from a NYC cell phone # 347-419-5521 to "verify" that I was home because I was going to be served with a summons. She left the above 877-641-0469 number.

Called my son and told him that there was a civil law suit against his mother. Verizon $57.00. I called them and the girl screamed and yelled and said I was going to be served papers. She had my social security number. I have never had Verizon. I think I will contact a lawyer. This person was really scary.

Did she have your SS number? The girl that called me was a bully. She laughed when I said I have never had Verizon. She said oh yes you did 14 years ago.
