I won't be responding, but now I'm miffed that I'm getting spam on my phone!!!

Same deal as other people. On my Verizon phone received a text from 51297 saying I was chosen to receive $200 gas card.

I was afraid to text STOP like it said, didn't know whether that would sign me up for something more as spam. So I'll just ignore and if it comes more I'll block the number. Who knows what calling or texting back will do...

I do not plan to call the number. Note that it does not say, 'free', anywhere, or 'you have won'. My guess is they want to charge me $200 [+ $2.85 shipping, I heard] for a card that I can use to get $200 worth of gas, and probably good only for a certain brand of gasoline. Where's the upside of that? I already have a 'gas card', a 'groceries card', a 'shopping card', a 'fast food card', a 'clothing card', a 'household items card', and a lot more. It's all just one card, and it's called a *credit card* -I'm not charged to use it and my 1 credit card is a useful tool for purchasing any number of things. (and pay it off every month)
