This is a total scam. A lady named Carmen C. came on the phone after asking if I was the account holder telling me I had a late bill nearly $300.00. Told her I just checked my account information w/ Verizon the other day and both accounts are good. She apologized for calling and hung up. Called Verizon and they have no record of ever calling me as that is not one of their numbers. Be careful and be very aware. Lazy scammers all around trying to steal working peoples money.

Supposedly from Verizon, but it the tape skips, is full of static. It asks if you are the person responsible for paying the bill to press 1 (and out of curiosity I did) and the line just goes dead. I checked the Verizon bill, and this number does not match any of their numbers.

I'm 2 days late on paying my Verizon bill.... God only knows how much money they have ripped me off over the years and they are blowing up my phone like I'm a criminal. I hate this company.

I add my name to the do NOT call list... and what happens??? NOW I get crap calls almost every day... this is another example of our government agencies being useless!!! Accountability to them ONLY means Accounting... as in counting their $$

Got consecutive calls from this phone. Normally verizon emails me if my account is due for payment soon. Gave another number to call.

Just to let everyone on here that seems clueless. THIS IS A SCAM! My husband gave them information and they began hacking into our account. Verizon told us not to answer the questions again. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO!!! It is a big mistake.

It's Verizon calling about my FiOS bill being late.

We upgraded our service several months ago and these MORONS never sent the new equipment and when we ordered it turned off out multi-room DVR because it's different on the new equipment. Despite MULTIPLE calls to them trying to resolve this they wouldn't fix it (this went on several months). They even agreed to remove the charges for multi-room DVR for the months in question but never did.

Finally my wife started sending the bill without the extra charges for service we weren't getting for the 4 months and they fixed the multi-room DVR service but we have yet to receive the new equipment and they never removed the charges for SERVICE WE DIDN'T RECEIVE FOR 4 MONTHS from our bill.

Looks like Verizon won't be paid at all soon.

This is a scam! Telling me my FIOS acct is overdue. I do not have FIOS. 3 messages this week saying important news about a letter that was sent and to pay bill call 866-803-4839.... And for questions call 888-423-0900 none are actual verizon numbers. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS.

This is a DOT HEAD SCAM - I rec'd a call AFTER 9PM(against the law), telling me that my Verizon cell bill is past due - funny thing is, I have my bill with AT&T and have for the last 8 years(back in the day when they are singular).

- So what is the scam? Annoyance? is that the only goal here? Or is the robot going to turn on a high pitched RF noise that is only audible to dogs, and use as mind-control. If its Verizon- or not- the real issue is that average everyday folks feel entitled that only those persons they have given permission too - should call there number. But I imagine- even if it was a loved- one- most people get annoyed - as they are too self-important. Whats the use of leaving comments- when it never stops the calls. Except to give more power over a phone call - to persuade us to voice an opionion and that waste time.

1. It appears to be a scam to ME because I've never had any type of Verizon account, yet they incessantly call me about a bill owed. I block one number and then they call with another number. They started texting about equipment returns too. Again, never in my life have I had a Verizon account. Now, it could be one of their customers just typed in a random number to set up their account (which ended up being mine) and skipped out on the bill. Verizon refuses to do anything about it though because I'm not the account holder.
2. Get off your high horse--there's a significant difference between the frustration of a family member calling at the worst time possible and these types of relentless calls. If you believe voicing your opinion is a waste of time--power to you. I respectfully disagree that in voicing concerns is a waste. If it you truly believed it was, you wouldn't have felt compelled to post a message. It's not always an action that makes people better. Sometimes venting and seeing you aren't alone is enough.
