This is a scam Verizon will never call you about fraud only send a text message. I received the same call but it went to voice mail. I called Verizon on the customer service number in my online account and they were able to confirm the calls were a scam.
Caller from this number 888-483-7200 said they are from Verizon and someone is trying to set up an account in my name, they were trying to get me to say YES when they asked me if that was my name , I just hung up. I am going to report them to the FTC.
