Spoke to a someone named Kevin and introduced himself as a Representative for both AT&T and DirecTV. At that time I was with Verizon and told him I might be interested in a month(I was actually just trying to get rid of him as nicely as I possibly could).
He did call me back after a month but I was hesitant on signing up for the services after doing research on their phone # and saw negative reviews as well as seeing that what he offered seemed TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! He also asked for sensitive personal info together with credit card info which made him seem more like a phone scammer.
So I told him what I thought, and instead of giving up, he made it a point to prove that he was legit and sent me emails of his quotation and advised me to contact some customers who he just recently enrolled to use as reference. So, I realized that scammers will easily give up once confronted and they're not this persistent. So, I took a leap of faith and trusted someone whom I only knew over the phone with my credit card & personal info.
But Lo and Behold, Not only did I signup with better service for tv, phone & internet BUT he gave me a deal that isn't offered in any platform. Who would have thought that a "shady" phone number was the answer to my prayers? And if you made the mistake of judging someone over the phone according to what the internet tells you they are, then you've made a big mistake with 8888154942.
