This number has HACKED my Verizon Wireless phone account (hidden since calls are unlimited...NO charge there) & has SOMETHING TO DO With SUDDEN DATA OVERAGES SIX TIMES my Typical Month 1GB for the Last Three+ Years. I CALLED THIS NUMBER from someone else's landline & got a recording "...could not complete this call". I blocked my number & called from my cell & got the exact same automated recording that "[something]...could not complete this call" and it hangs up. False charges are now over $200 in 2 months with Verizon not doing a thing, nor Google! I happened to call my mobile phone yesterday to locate it in the house and for the first time heard a NEW GREETING: "The Google Voice subscribe can NOT take your call right now...". The rest of this week & maybe MONTH is going to be tied up with calls to Verizon, Google, then my legislative representatives, the FCC, CPUC, and any other entity I need to call to get this fixed ASAP. I have had the SAME phone number for 15 or so years, but read a similar case's posting that said neither Verizon nor Google claimed they could DO anything!!!! I don't have time for this, but do not have the MONEY either...so, perhaps a police report will be necessary before I disconnect My VERIZON mobile account. I am so pissed!

My phone is getting charged for 15 to 21 calls per day to this number. It has something to do with Google Voice of which we have never used. Have been trying to get rid of this for 23 days now. Have tried everything Verizon has told me to do but nothing works. Google talk cannot be uninstalled. Blocking the number does not work. Adding to friends and family does not work. Doing a factory reset on the phone does not work. Verizon has no clue. Hoping someone has had this problem and can help me out. Right now I feel like screaming. While all the time my minutes are being eaten up and I will go over again this month.

I'm having the same issue and have done the same things you mentioned. I also set the security settings to block all incoming and outgoing calls. It did not work. Did a factory reset, but it only worked for a few days. Today I got a new phone number and if it keeps doing it, I will probably get a new phone. I have a prepaid phone, $1.99 per day once a call is received or made. Very angry b/c I've lost some money due to what I believe is some type of hack scam. Will have to wait a few more days and see if getting a new phone number will do the trick??

I desperately need to find out what is going on, somewhat similar to the post I am replying to. On 12/14/2015, I succumbed to Verizon CHANGING my grandfathered phone plan. I paid $110/mo for 2 lines (iPhone; iPad) that shared 3GB data. Verizon convinced me to change to new plan $45 for 3GB & line access $20 for phone (instead of $40) and $10 for tablet; new plan = $75. AND, I never went over 1.5 GB of data. NOW, my DATA exceeded 3GB the first month, so I added the extra $15 fee for 1 more GB. PAID BILL...HIGHER than original when VERIZON promised cutting bill in half ($75)!! New cycle starts & got notice that I was going to go OVER the 3GB already!!! Paid the suggestion to the 6GB plan...THIS WEEK, I get notice that I almost maxed the 6 GB,! Look to MyVerizon & see my minutes phone usage called (916) 629-4665 4 times daily every few days, originating FROM my phone! No clue what this # is & the locations originating from are places I go, but RARELY. So the first set showed me calling that # from 4 different cities that I was never in that day!!!! I am about to call Verizon to see what they claim is the reason to suddenly have my data usage switch from 1GB/month for the last 3 years to suddenly 3GB & now suddenly to 6GB/month--without ANY NEW CHANGES, no new equipment. Seeing the reports here tells me that someone has hacked into my account & increasing data usage fees & that false Google Voice call fakery originating from my phone tells me it's a part here, too. Please wish me best I desperately need to find out what is going on, somewhat similar to the post I am replying to. On 12/14/2015, I succumbed to Verizon CHANGING my grandfathered phone plan.
