I too have been the victim of this - my 13 yr old daughter innocently downloaded a ringtone and began the 9.95 charge. The first time I called Verizon they told me to txt 69097 and unsubscribe. They said to take it up with Pure Luv to get credit. When the charge was on my next bill I called Verizon and this time they credited the charges from the beginning.
DThey might have called but I did not answer the call and you have been charging me $19.95 a month since July!
I don't know how you did this but, I would like to be rein-versed for all the charges!
Please adjust your records and advise.

This mobile service and download came up on my wife's cell and was listed as Pure Luv Alerts
from Straightline. A Google search comes up with a pile of information that traces back to a
"John Smith" in Melbourne, Australia.
AT&T customer service was very gracious and removed this subscription and refunded the subscription charges with the explanation that they have had a number of complaints for Pure Luv.
The droll idea that came to mind was whether Murdoch was involved in this hacking as well.
Basically this intrusion is a hack of your cell phone and can be started by something as simple as a wrong number, used to confirm the account as being active.
Has happened on at&t as well. Friendly service person was happy to unsubscribe and refund the recurring charges
Looks like these scammers are targeting Verizon users. This same #$%^ happened to me and they billed me $9.99, as an attachment to my Verizon bill. I called Verizon and complained that I didn't know anything about this premium service, nor did I subscribe to it. After twenty minutes on the phone with Verizon Customer Support, the reluctantly removed the charge as a 'one time courtesy'. Courtesy my @#$%^ - it is probably a scam from Verizon. Can you imagine how many people don't look at their bill and just pay it?
