Many, many calls. Sometimes I have answered, and after a long pause heard simply a goodbye. Called back a few times, and occasionally someone just answered hello, then nothing. Usually, I just let it ring. The other day, I picked up and a man with a thick East Indian type accent, said pretty much the same things the other reports have mentioned. He said that he was with Microsoft and that they had been receiving a great many error reports from my home computer. I told him about previous calls and about not being able to find a 999 area code in USA. After a bit of back and forth, he admitted it was not a telephone. He said it was an internet phone call, and that he was in NYC. Gave me a number I could call back and that I should ask for him, Mark Brown( no extension) I told him over and over everything was fine. Finally he said, in a weak voice, okay, and disconnected. How do you block this? Are they able to hack our computers? My computer may have been on that day. I am worried and want to have this harassment stopped!

These people are real scam. His man was very rude when I told him he was a scam. I looked the number up and read about the scam. Then I ask him what he was trying to do was not going to work. He told me to shut my mouth and listen. Don't give them no information

The caller said my computer was broken and that I needed to let him fix it remotely for a fee.

Received a call from an Indian dialect male who was representing IYOGI, which is a very reputable computer trouble shooting company world wide, and that my computer had some issues. I subscribe to IYOGI. I have received calls from them before and put the number on my blocked phone list but they were able to unblock the listing. I told them they were a scam and there is nothing wrong with my computer and don't ever call this number again and I hung Up. I contacted IYOGI who told me they are aware of this scam, IYOGI uses only 800 numbers to call their clients. They are refering the information submitted to their techincal security department

I've had several calls from these people, but I always refused them access to my computer. My computer had never had any problems, and I can't remember the last time I sent an error report to Microsoft, yet these scammers try and try to tell me about what's going on inside my computer. It was the same guy mentioned above, a male with a thick Indian accent calling himself Mark or Mike Watson. I hung up on him. I just wish I had the 5 seconds the call lasted back.

5 calls went unanswered. I was not familiar with the area code or number. The 6th attempt
the call came in on a Private/Private . Because I have family with blocked numbers, I answered. An Asian sounding woman knew my name said she was from Microsoft and my computer had a virus and wanted me to log into my computer. I was then I ask if she was a F##**ing Idiot. I told her to go try her scam on someone else and that if she were lucky it would be the Authorities.

Asian male called saying his company was "in partnership with Dell" and asked if I was aware that our computers had suspicious activity in the last several weeks and were full of junk files and about to crash. What timing. The past two nights were spent with Dell, cleaning and optimizing our computers...so I knew this fellow was lying and told him so. Before we hung up he said to "be aware your computers are going to crash". I allowed this company access in the past, and then Dell had to repair the damage done.

I spoke with these guys at length today. After not giving in to his demands, he asked me "why don't you act like other stupid Americans"?, because i wouldn't give him my credit card number. We exchanged various cultural insults for the next ten minutes.
BTW, they said they were from Dell, and that my computer sent them info about too many downloaded junk folders.

Scam. I remember the person calling me saying he was from Microsoft.

I, also, got another scam from a man saying he was from Dell. He wanted to work on my computer to fix the errors there. Another scam.

Carefull. Don't follow through with them "doing this, charging you". They do nothing, except get your money.

I received a call also from this number. They hung up when I answered so decided to do some research. I did try to re dial to see if it would go through to find out who it was and was told the # was no longer in existence. Thanks everyone for the information. If they call again, I"ll know what to do.

This company is a complete scam. They claim to be the only authorized Windows Service Center. Why would Microsoft, who developed Windows, need a 3rd party to service their software? I kept the guy on the phone and followed his instructions as far as I could without allowing him any personal info, and he directed me to a website for the company he works for (Global Security) based in California. Basically they are trying to get you to sign up for their anti-virus,spametcetc, software. The catch is that once they have your Credit card #, they just keep billing you and billing you. I have received calls from this company persistently over the last month, from all different area codes. One time I demanded to know how they got my name and number since I have never registered anything in my name, and they hung up on me. I recommend you either don't answer in the first place, or hang up on them

I just received a call from this number. I didn't pick up and let the answering machine do it. As soon as the Answering spoke it's message, a woman's voice, that sounded computer generated, said, "Good bye".

I am in Regina, Saskatchewan, and have received numerous Mircrosoft "repair" calls over the year, but none from this particular number.
