Received a message saying that "John" wants to contact me through iFriendShare. I opened it, but I will ignore it after reading this page. Seeing as no one I know with the name John has my phone number, I was pretty suspicious.
This has to be a scam. Text:
"John wants to contact you via iFriendShare. Allow for 24 hours, reply A. Always allow, reply W. Reject, reply D. Text Help for Help. Msg&Data rates may apply"
I don't know anyone named John (odd, huh, but I don't) and not very many people have my number. I don't have a smartphone or a text plan.
Verizon will only allow you to block a regular 10-digit number. I'm going to call them and tell them I should not be able to get a text from an unblockable number.
iFriend is not an app in the Android App Store (Amazon).
is it charging me?
