received automated call - 8002729440 and email total HTML hidden/junk not readable in text only mode --- usaa has never sent me such always can read their messages in text only mode; I've been USAA member for 50 years -- as members know usaa will never give you any other number except their local and their 800 --- go to web site - look in your messages center -- every email sent to you from usaa is there --- type into help ask fraud alert or fraud report the only numbers shown is the 50+ years phone number --- This is totally unlike usaa and stinks -- don't call --- ONLY CALL NUMBER ON BACK OF CARD AS USAA HAS ALWAYS SAID!

i work for them, its a legitimate phone number for the fraud team. beware of scammers spoofing the number

Scam email. Not USAA. I called USAA on its "usual" trunk line and was told they had no record of sending me an email and the email address was not theirs.

Received an email that looked legitimate. The phone numbers were not on my list for USAA and USAA confirmed the number was not theirs. I blocked them.

Got call saying USAA fraud prevention. Gave me a return number to call them. 800 272 9440. I Googled number & saw some scam reports. Called USAA on their regular number and they confirmed that USAA did not originate the bogus call. My incoming scam call showed "USAA" on my phone announcing screen. Clever daggone scammers!

Automated call identified themselves as USAA fraud nbr. Not one of my recognized USAA nbrs. asked for last 4 of card. recording said could not find, hold for rep. Hold music didn't sound like USAA. Hung up and googled scams.

Caller: Unknown. said they were USAA federal savings bank.

· We have accounts with USAA, but no debit card. I called USAA via their standard number, confirmed no questionable activity on our other accounts, and asked them to verify whether 800-272-9440 was a legitimate USAA number. Their answer: no, it is not. Be careful!

Fraudulent credit usage for a person who left the address 9 years ago. I requested no telephone contact, no mail/email.
I tried to work this with USAA but they refused to correct the problem. Previously, my wife and myself contacted USAA and were told they had us on a no contact list for 5 years, yet the calls continue. The transcribed message from the telephone went to our email address and is provided in section 8.
