Voice said this call was from Amazon and my account was being charged for about $300 before I hung up.

Received a voice mail from Comcast Xfinity about an appointment at my home. I never made an appointment. The 800 number given in the message does indeed belong to Comcast Xfinity. I complained via on line chat to some customer service phone bank my CS rep had an unpronounceable Indian name. I asked why I got the call when I had never made an appointment with Comcast Xfinity. He responded that I would not be bothered again. I presume that this is yet another attempt to get me to switch services to them since I get bombarded with paper mail flyers weekly. Anyway they are inventing a new way to make contact or someone is pranking me by making appointments on my behalf without my knowledge.

Claims to be Comcast. Called 8 times in 15 minutes.

Called and stated they were with Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Attempt to collect other personal information.

Caller stated her name was Sharon and calling from DMV. She had some of my personal information, but not all accurate. Raised a red flag and when I asked where she was calling from again she hung up. Called DMV and it was not a call from them. Spam call trying to collect additional personal information...beware!

Not really Comcast. Scammers using the name and logo. I don't have Xfinity and they called trying to lie about an account I don't have!!

They say there with comcast with a promotion code, they want to transfer you to another person, i hung up

called at 11;20 this am (Sat, July 12) . My caller id did not provide an identity. The voice sounded Asian in origin, but wanted for me to turn on my computer so he could "clear up a problem that I was probably having with my modem." He then told me he was from Comcast. I told him that he should check his records again, because I didn't have Comcast as my internet provider. Also told him to figure out exactly who he worked for, because he called Friday, July 11th, about updating my Medicare Plus coverage and I should provide him with details by way of my computer. At this point, he hung up. I guess that he couldn't remember who he worked for. LOL

Just received a call *from* this number, with Caller ID as Comcast. Just so all reading know, scammers can make your caller ID say whatever they want (ever get a call from your own number?). Regardless, it wasn't Comcast, it was a scammer. After the telltale delay in responding to hello, the caller identified herself as from Xfinity, in a heavy central Asian accent. Explained that there have been problems with customer accounts, and offered to help us determine if everything was OK. I played along, misleading in what should have been obvious ways. They asked what key was in a specific location on the computer keyboard (to determine if PC or Apple and direct their next move to gain control of our computer, no doubt). I told them that the key there is π, which she didn't understand; I said so you don't have to type out all the digits after 3.14159.... That should have stopped her. Then we agreed that it is a Microsoft product, and she directed me to press a certain key combination (I was 30 ft. from the computer, which was off). I told her the screen blacked out, then started flashing. Then I said that all of the names of the icons were now in a foreign language that appeared to be German, but might be Polish, because I speak neither. After a few more minutes I put the phone on mute for a bit, then back on and pretended I hadn't heard her at all. She asked if she could call back tomorrow, and I asked if she could call a different number. Only when I completed telling her to call 123-456-7890 did she realize I had her figured from when the phone rang. I am proud to say she broke into profanities first, but I responded appropriately. Perhaps our number won't get called again by that particular cell of scammers. Then again, she didn't seem to be very bright. 🤣🤣🤣

Number called 5 times within a 15min time span. Left the same robo voicemail everytime.

I wish that these lazy people would go fine a better paying Job in stead of laying . Caller said that they was trying to stop inflashion they can't stop high cost of stuff . thing will cost more and more the older a person get,.

The phone number shows as comcast they say they have to check my modem for security problems. I hung up on them. They call my house every day. I called Comcast twice they stated they would never call about internet issues that the customer would call into them. Don't give out any information.
