at 10:58am I received a phone call at my work from 707-508-4581 but my caller id revealed it was an International call coming from India. He asked me to verify my name and stated my full social security number. I refused to confirm the information until they told me what the call was about. I was the transferred to a "supervisor" who also stated my full social which I refused to confirm and then stated that I had defaulted on an Internet Payday loan. I told him that this was a scam and he was committing fraud and he told me they were sending the police to my work and/or home address to arrest me. I told him I would be waiting and to f-off. This is the second call I have gotten like this in a year. I have no payday loans let alone have I ever defaulted on one. Something needs to be done about these thieves! I know other people are falling for it because they are scared to be arrested.

Got a voicemail from an Indian man, said there was a lawsuit being taken out in my name and he had the last 4 digits of my social. It seems like this phone number is fradulent so I will ignore and report it to the proper authorities.

I and my fiance received the same phone call from a man with a heavy accent. He told both of us that I didn't pay a bill and that I was going to be charged with a lawsuit regarding bank fraud and deception. I am a lawyer, and so I began asking them questions, which they could not answer. They threatened my job, my house and my person. They indicate that they are recording me and that they can use this against me in a court of law.

It is scary, they have a lot of information about me, which is correct. They know my social, my address, my name, my driver's license number. Too much information.

They are operating out of California. I suggest that if anyone receives these calls they report it to the local police as well as the Oakland police.

I got a call like this, actually I've had several over the past year. If you ever filled out an application for an online payday loan company that's how they got your information. They use that and then call you and threaten you. I too have been threatened numerous times and people I work with have been threatened. I put in a few reports with the FCC on this, but the phone number keeps changing. Now I just love to mess with these guys when they call me.
