Here is a copy of the automated voice message I received from 1-708-270-8753 RE: being sued by the IRS.

I got home last night about 9:45pm and found two auto-messages from 1-708-270-8753, one at 11:03am and another at 4:47pm. Out of curiosity I called the number and got a busy signal where there would have been and IRS message stating it was after hours. I was not surprised. As a note to person above RE: how I filed, bummer, yes, I filed electronically and I used TurboTax.

I called them back to ask them if I owed the IRS money, why did they give me my return... Bunch of dumb asses...

Call came as a recorded message claiming I was being sued by the IRS. The message said I needed to call them. I received 2 calls from them May 5th 2016. Reported it to the IRS and to the do not call registry.

One other note. I had the same background noise as others mentioned. I also asked for his name and he gave me my name! I said your name is the same as mine, and he hung up.

I was trying to call them back and tell them I want to pay it off..BUT THEY HUNG UP ON ME!!!! Not good scammers,,,lol

Tried to call back the number they used to call and there is no answer. Sounds like it's bogus to me.

Like Scott above, I called back for fun. Person with an accent answered and what sounded like hundreds of others in the background having conversations. He identified himself as 'Officer Mike Olson' and told me he was working for the IRS and they were taking legal action against me. I couldn't understand him due to his strong accent so he just hung up.

Phishing call, supposedly IRS "last notice" of lawsuit. The automated recording provides direction to call back that number.
