I got a call , said they were from citizens bank & went on to ask for my credit card number. I immediately refused to give out any information, at which the caller said, I cannot get into ur account. I don`t have ur password. I told him listen up, I am not comfortable giving out this information, besides if your from citizens bank you already have this information. Good-bye. & hung up..He never called back, which is fine with me..I am going to the bank this week & telling them about the call..
Yea
Unwanted credit card services.
I always google unknown numbers before answering. I get this number every few months. I never answer, and they never leave a message.
Caller identified herself as being from Citizens Bank, conducting a short survey. She asked if either my husband or I had recently made a transaction at a specific Citizens branch location. The answer was no & the survey ended. After the call I looked up all Citizens Customer Svce. phone numbers which do not list this '800' number. I then phoned the Customer Svce number shown on our bank statement, to inquire about the call we'd received. The rep I spoke with investigated & informed me that Citizens Bank does use the company associated with the caller, for various surveys. Had our answer been "yes", the survey would have pertained to the level of customer service received at the branch office. She also said no one can call the 671-7916 back as it is an outgoing only number, and call-backs should/would be referred to a different number. All in all this was apparently a real survey & not some kind of scam.
