I just got a call from 844-313-7118 in my new office line that no one has it yet. I picked up the phone and a voice went on stating "this is John Smith from CRA and it has to do with tax crime and I must call them back. When I called, a guy picked up and said his name was Meagan. I asked to speak to John Smith. He said John Smith is very busy and to provide him my name to check in the system why he called me. I refused to give my name. He asked why. I said the number they reached is a new number from my company that no one knows yet. He said to sure provide him my name. I refused and hang up.

This is Scam indeed.

John Smith said I needed to call back immediately or have a lawyer call the CRA tax crime division.

"John smith" left a message for me. Very time sensitive apparently. Should at least us a real division within the CRA. Accent gave it away

first said CRA..then said he was John Smitt of Smith police officer! His accent gave him away....

Just had the same thing. He left a very nasty message on my phone and claimed he was "Officer John Smith" and that this was his 3rd call, if I didn't pay he'd have his lawyer at my door. SAD.
