The phone called started stating that i needed to update my google listing to press 1. I was transferred to a live call where I was asked business information to see if it was correct. I verified the listing information was correct. The girl on the line proceeded to run through searches that she stated someone in my local business area might try to find my business. She then tried to see if i wanted to expand my influence to get new customers. I stated we did not and she discontinued the call. Clearly a telemarketing call.

They called me also, Indian accent, with sales pitch about being on the first page of google.

When I explained to the lady that my company already is on the first page of google, she could not even inderstand what I was saying. I think that she does not understand how google works, only cold calling suckers with a telemarketing script.

once everybody knew it was a scamming caller just hung up
