IRS Impersonation Scam call. Go to the website for TIGTA (Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration) for a list of telephone numbers identified as IRS scam callers. Complete the 'IRS Impersonation Scam Reporting' form to provide your feed. NOTE; If the IRS is taking legal action against you they contact you by mail.

Was awakened by this call at 1 am this morning ~ same old IRS scam ~ these callers are scumbags ~ wish somebody could stop it.

These criminals have called me numerous times and tonight the entire household was sleeping but me as it was 11:34pm and the same robo message about the IRS. I can't kill my phone as I need it for my business. All these criminals should be thrown in prison!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received call at 9:52 PM. I did not answer. Later, I too got the recorded message that I should call back fast to settle a suit by the IRS. So glad for this site to reassure me of the fraudulent nature of this call.

Called me for the second time in Two weeks, saying charges have been filed by IRS. I already got my return, no problems!!! This is a SCAM!!!

Have received al call from 202-754-8416 (which is most likely spoofed as this is a Washington DC exchange) today which I did not answer, They left a voice mail claiming a lawsuit had been filed against me and to contact them to resolve the issue. These crooks should be lined up against a wall and shot by firing squad.

Got a call from the same number--figured it was some kind of scam, so I did not reply. It seems like something should be able to be done about these ass----- before they take advantage of some unsuspecting sole!!!!!!!!

received a recorded message when I answered my cell phone at 11:04pm. Prerecorded message indicated that I was being sued by the IRS and to call this number back to resolve my case. Yes this is BS, I don't, nor never did owe any unpaid taxes. Even so, I am curious to find out jut show far this scam goes, so that I may relate my findings to the public. DO NOT buy into this SCAM
