Credit card scammer! Caller ID said, "Peoples Assista". I answered and a recording stated: "This is a very important call about your credit card..." I hung up and added the number to my call block list.

Prerecorded call "... your final warning to lower credit card rate..." I wish!!!
I pressed 1 to speak to a representative. I was #16 in line to be answered. The countdown proceeded pretty quickly and in less than a minute it was my turn. I informed the woman that I was opening an FCC complaint and asked to be taken off their list. Response: CLICK!
BTW for those that have "filed a complaint." I copied the following from the FTC website:
"Complaints filed through the Consumer Help Center are categorized as "informal" complaints. There is no fee for filing an informal complaint.

If you are not satisfied with the response to your informal complaint, you can file a "formal" complaint. Your formal complaint must be filed within six months of the date of the response to your informal complaint. The current fee for filing a formal complaint is $225.00, but it is subject to change.

Formal complaint proceedings are similar to court proceedings. Each party must comply with specific procedural rules, appear before the FCC and file documents that address legal issues. called past 4 days same bull' these comment sites are not worth anything but comments. how about a site that would actually do something to stop this bull shit.

they call me today and I don't know what I have to do

Continuing rip-off scam about being able to lower the interest rate of credit cards. Total fraud. Feds shut down one number and they pop up somewhere else spoofing a new one. Just keep reusing the same old recording.

IT IS A SCAM AND WASTE OF TIME - Do NOT answer! They will not leave a voice message either.

Called on cell phone, I did not pick up, left no msg. How do they get cell numbers?

These people have been calling me for at least two years or more. At first I
would answer and tell them that I didn't use a credit card or pay credit card
interest but they are still calling with lots of different names and numbers. I read something in a paper that if you would push the talk button and then hold down the # sign it gives a bad noise and if it was a robo call it would mess it up but I am still getting calls. I never answer any calls that I don't know.

Don't call back and ask to be taken

off the list!! It just confirms to all scammers that yours is a real phone number. Just block and then tell Congress that all spammers deserve the death penalty (because they do).

unknown and unwanted call, should block it and report it, sue it. My call is on "don't call list".

Just call the number back and it will give you the option to the do not call list .
