I was called by this # called them out that it was a scam and he threatened my life saying he knows where I live and he'll be there in 15 minutes

Received call from a man with a strong accent saying he was from the US government and I had been selected to receive a $9,200 grant from the government because I meet some criteria (which I'm not sure that I do). Gave me a call back number and grant confirmation number. Listed a number of places that I could retrieve the grant money from (MoneyGram, Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, RiteAid, Publix, etc.). Makes no sense and is definitely not legitimate.

just got a call from this number it was a guy saying that he was looking for his ex girlfriend... he started to sing and what not. when i took over the call he became very irate and started cussing about and say nasty things about my mom.

Same as the others. Robocall. They use a predictive dialer (IRS would not have the phone number the call was received on). It is a total scam. IRS will not contact you by phone. If you call back you will probably be connected by someone with a strong Pakastani or Indian accent. They will threaten you with an immediate arrest warrant if don't pay them (usually in iTunes cards - which are untraceable and your money will be gone). DO NOT CALL THEM BACK! Today is not the first time these scammers have left a voice message for me. There are examples of these phone calls on YouTube.

Is it really them? I just got the call with the recording from "the irs" telling me to call them due to a final notice that they're filing a lawsuit but no information other than to call them back @ the same number they did call me from. (206-451-8261) It just seems sketchy
