I received a call today that I was being sued by the IRS. His name was "Officer Brandon Walter"; he had a thick accent despite the American sounding name. He stated it was for the years of 2008-2012 and asked for my address. When I refused to give it to him he threatened me with facing the IRS attorneys in court and if I lost, I would owe $75,000. He claimed that a personal courier came by my house twice in order to serve me papers but i was not available. He could not provide the address at which they supposedly sent this courier to. He then passed me along to his "supervisor" who sounded like the SAME guy. Both men were extremely threatening and harassing. The entire time there was significantly loud background noise, like a call center.

So, I called this number after receiving a generic voicemail & reading these comments. A man answered the phone right away, lots of noise. He asked for my name & the phone number. I gave him bogus information except for the phone number. After he put me on hold several times he came back on & said that he had my file pulled up. Mind you, I have a made up name & address info....and he confirmed it! I asked him again who he was, He claimed to be officer Phillip Edwards from the criminal investigation unit of the IRS. TOTAL SCAM! I really hope no one falls for it. Be careful out there!

Received two calls, loud noise in background and man claimed to be with IRS.Very rude when I asked to speak with manager or someone higher up.

I received a voice mail message to call right away and I returned the call. Finally got through after the sixth time. The man on the phone told me it was a recorded line (very very noisy background) from the IRS. He said it was regarding a tax filing for the years of 2008 - 2013 - to send a check in the amount of $7,456 immediately or they were going to send a police officer with a bench warrant.
The caller told me he was an Officer - he gave me his badge number.
and my pending case number and told me I would have to spend at least 15 days "behind the bars" I told him I would look forward to seeing him in court or from behind bars!

I received 3 calls today alone. Automated call

Just received this phone call and did not answer. They left a recorded message saying it was a fraud department. However the message did not say who. When I returned the call it rang once and went busy. Checked my emails for fraud notification and nothing. SCAM

I called the number back the woman I spoke with had broken English. She asked for my name which is quite common and confirmed my phone number. Then she asked me to confirm my mailing address which I would not do. I ask her what address she had on file for me and it was incorrect. The IRS wouldn't be calling they send direct mail. It was helpful to read others noticed this was a scam too.

I got the call too. Twice today. It's definitely a scam.

Recorded message said this was a final notice that the IRSGOV was going to sue me, and to call back. Total and complete scam.

has called me 3 times this morning and left a computer recorded voice message saying there is a lawsuit against me and to call back.

Same as above. Called back and number was not in service.
