caller ID said "V. Jones" but they left no message. i now screen all calls and never answer unless i recognize the number....problem solved!

Automated call to let me know it was my "final notice" to lower my credit card interest rates (so far I have received about a dozen of these "final notices". Selecting the option to be removed from their list does not work.
