Called my cell number on 9/13/2017. A recording said it was an "officer from the IRS" calling to let me know I am under investigation. My caller ID showed that the call originated from Texas. I hung up immediately. I have read about telephone scams in the past. I immediately knew that the IRS will not call anyone with such a message. They would send a notice in the mail. This is a federal crime is it not? I will report this to the authorities, and hope this scammer is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I received a text message from this fraud n 9/1/17. I immediately looked up the number on the internet because I worked for the gov't and I know that IRS sends mail - not calls!! Consumer beware. Everyone I out to get money that you have worked tireless and endless hours for. I do hope they are caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

They are claiming to be IRS agents and are claiming false accusations that i am committing tax fraud. REPORT THESE PEOPLE TO THE FBI, WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL.
