Got a call but couldn't answer it and no message was left. If my number is on the do not call list and automated message is part of that why are they still calling? These calls have been rampant lately!

Got a call from this number this afternoon, 361-317-3218. Pre-recorded message that wanted to consolidate and lower my payments on my loan. I don't have a loan. Options were to press 1 to speak with someone, or to press 2 to stop this call. I pressed 2. Called AT&T about it, since I've never had this type of call before; they said it was an auto-dialer. WHEN are the Feds going to step in and stop this crap? This is MY phone, and these companies don't have the right to call me about this crap. >:(

Unfortunately, the only way to stop these folks is to do it ourselves. Pick up, mess with them, keep them on the line as long as possible. Think of it as a Neighborhood Watch, except on the phone - if enough of us make their, uh, 'business model' (like a burglar) REALLY HARD, they will eventually go away.

Got a call from 361-317-3218. It was Alex (indian) who wanted to consolidate and lower my payments on my credit card. Rate was 6.9%. Funny, I have no credit card debt. Got a call from the same person regarding the same thing ~30 minutes earlier from 575-404-7917. Total SCAM.

The name listed with the number was R Dobbs. I don't know anyone named Dobbs, and I don't know anyone in Texas. I didn't answer.
