Called me today saying that he was from FedEx and that my boss had a personal private package and he needed to talk to him for phone number and address. Gave me a phone number to return call, not remotely the same as the number displayed (nor was his name the same)

Scammer. Said he was from "Oracle."

This number calls every hour and never leaves a voicemail. No caller information other than 408-905-1818. I dialed the number myself and received the automated message: "the magic jack customer you have called unavailable to take your call; please leave a message after the tone." Call me paranoid, but I can't imagine that Stanford University is a magic jack customer. Obviously a scam. Hang up, send to voicemail, or block the number.

They call the main number at my work almost every day. They call up to seven times, asking for the same people each day. This has been going on for years. Caller has an Indian accent.

Caller ID comes up as DHARMAG TRIVEDI but after I answered the phone I just heard background noises similar to a call center, then some fumbling and a hang-up.

Yep. Called our main switchboard, our operator said he was from Stanford University, I told her to send to voicemail, no message, just hung up.

Called our sales line. Heavy accent (possibly Indian) and asked to speak with one of our engineers. Explained to him that the number he called is a trunk line that queues to all of the sales reps' mobile phones and I have no way of transferring him to a random employee. He got upset and hung up.

Has been calling over the last few weeks and figured it was a cold-call. I finally answered it. Person (with possible Indian accent) said he was calling from Google and asked to speak to one of our partners. Seemed rather un-Google like so I told them to connect with our partner through LinkedIn to get rid of it. Phone rang again from same number and picked it up ... just some fumbling noises and they hung up. Both calls sounded long-distance so probably running through some exchange system. Ugh.

Called me on the office, confirmed my job title and the company address with the secretary and then asked to talk to me, when I answered him he told me his name was Antonio.
He wanted my email (probably my company email) to forward me information about a webinar about my job domain.
When I asked him the origin of that and where he got my number from he told he would forward me all the info on the email and that he got my number from my company's HQ (which is just not true).

Called and said his name was Anthony Berker. He wanted to talk with our programmer. He also said he worked at Stanford University. When I asked him what he did there, he hung up the phone.
