I know this is a scam call. I have NO issues with IRS. Furious that they're calling a do not call number and that the supposed robo-call blocker I have didn't stop it.

Returned from vacation and found 2 partial messages that threatened that we should call. Our tape did not include any mention of the IRS. Thanks to this website I'll not call them.

I agree that this sounds like a scam. I just revised my taxes last week and thinking they were hacked. Called back last night and got a busy signal. Called back this morning and they hung up on me.

this is a scam they want personal information and then will tell you that they have money for you do not believe them

Didn't answer, but the robotic-voiced Julie Smith left a threatening "we're the IRS and you're in trouble" message.

Julie Smith from San Fransisco/North Bay Area - I got a call from a "Julie Smith" from the "IRS" stating that "it was a time sensitive matter" and I would need to "call immediately before action is taken against" me.

Message just said "Don't disregard this message. Return the call before we take any action against. Good bye and take care."

"Julie Smith", allegedly calling from the IRS... warning not to ignore the call and to call back.

Just got the same voice message. Julie Smith. Sounds super scammy and I will report this

I got a robotic voice message on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:14 am CST saying they were the IRS a "Julie Smith" (was very unclear on first name) and that the issue was "time sensitive" and call before any "action will be taken". When I called the number they answered "IRS" but the gentleman sounded Indian descendant and asked for my case number which of course I don't have one. And I told him that I would give him no other information except my phone number and he can research my information from there. I asked him that I would rather talk to Julie Smith and "he" doesn't sound like Julie Smith. He said to call back in 30 minutes. Oh, I will.

PhoneDetective said: Ignacio, CA was the origination of the call. IRS website is all 1-800 and 1-866 and 1-877 numbers and not open on the weekend to contact. Weird thing is I just revised my 2013 IRS taxes last week electronically. I wouldn't doubt if the IRS was hacked.

I got a voice recording saying that they were from the Internal Revenue Service and that I should call immediately or they would take action against me. It seemed very suspicious and i doubt it was really the IRS.
