I got two calls this morning while I was out. Left a threatening message that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and to call this number back right away. I'm reporting them.

Caller said he was IRS. Very broken English with Indian accident. I could not understand him. He finally just hung up.

Got three calls on Friday, I was away and called Monday. He yells at me and says you are just calling now? Supposedly I have ignored two past demand letters and the Sheriff is coming to get me. Very broken English, I yelled back at him, you are a big scam and hung up

Message on answering machine, sounding urgent "call immediately" limited information, sounds like a scam.

It is a scam...do not call them...the IRS never calls , they send certified mail....I just received a call as well & one a few months ago.., talked to my accountant who said it is bogus & not to call... Report them.....

Go to IRS site, click on inspector general on left side & file a report under the TIGxx. I can't remember the last 2 letters. Their asking for people to file. Apparently this has moved from overseas to here.....file a report & give them the ph# the caller said to call if you can.

I couldn't understand the robot call, so I called it back. Claimed to be the IRS. Told him it was a SCAM and he tried to defend himself and that I shouldn't call it a SCAM.

Recorded message saying this is the IRS and that a lawsuit is pending. Connection cut off in the middle of the message. Typically, if the IRS is suing, you'll be subpeonaed, not called on the phone. Scam.

Called claiming to be the IRS and are going to sue me. No case # just the phone #./ Sounds like a scam to me.
