They left messages saying they were the IRS and were going to file a case against me for something. I knew it was a scam and did not respond. I have played with scammer but it not worth the risk to waste any time responding to a sociopath.

called three times Apr 15 and left messages indicating from IRS due to problem with taxes.
Need to stop these calls.

Once they start, they don't give up. On top of that, they do not say anything that sounds like the IRS. All they are doing is trying to scare people.

This number just called me and left an automated voicemail that just repeated the number twice and to call them back that it was urgent. It says the number is from Palouse, WA.

They called me today telling me that they had been trying to contact me. That it was the last notice, and that the IRS was going to file a sue against me. The called twice (strange for a last call :) )

They called me and said a warrant for my arrest has been issued for tax evasion (an active warrant cannot be issued for tax evasion) I played along as the caller demanded 'don't hang up or else I cannot help you' instructed me to goto the courthouse with them on the phone and asked me how much money I had on credit cards and my bank account.... Gave no personal information and convinced them I was going to try to get the money I was instructed that I only had one hour.... My hour has been up for eight lol IDENTITY THIEF ALERT!!!!

After I looked up the number and followed the link to this site, I tried calling the number back, but there was no answer...just want to interrogate a little bit, because they only seem to call me on my work cell phone....

Same threat here-that the IRS had a warrant out for my arrest and someone would be at my door in 45 minutes to arrest me for owing thousands of dollars to the IRS. They actually had an old address of mine to try to verify it, and he rattled off some fake case file number. Very rude when I started asking questions. Even called me back from a different number, and, as soon as I answered, said why did you hang up on me!

Same thing for me. They kept calling everyday and I never answered. Would leave a voicemail saying that someone was filing a lawsuit against me. Finally just blocked the number because I was tired of getting calls at work.

Said they were calling from the IRS and that they were filing a lawsuit against me. Didn't say why. It was a robot message each time, not a real person.
