Got the same call from publishers service.
Sweepstakes
I have received three calls from this number telling me I entered in their 1 million dollar drawing. They identified themselves as "Publishers Services etc." I stop them right there and asked them if they were connected to, employed by, a vender service of, or contracted by Publishers Clearing House. The first two calls ended abruptly, however on the third call, a person identified as "Julie, a supervisor" Told me "yes" to my questions, I then replied "Prove it" she asked me what I said, and I repeated "Prove it if you are the true PCH, you already have my email address, read it off to me. She thanked me, yada yada yada, and I informed her I had already reported their number to the local police, who confirmed it was a sacm and then reported their scam on the Official PCH website for scams.
My ccrd and personal information was recently compromised and brought to my attention by AMEX. I have received a few calls about inquiries for products & services placed in my name, but not placed by me. Because I thought this woman's call was one of the same, I cut her off before she could go on. When I asked about her company (and explained my response) she gave canned responses that didn't answer my question or address my personal issue. She ultimately thanked me for my time and hung up.
Said I was entered in their 1 million dollars drawing from some Website I registered with. Wanted my information confirmed. When asked what their company is about they hung up and I couldn't call back. I believe it's a scam to collect personal information.
