stupid scam

scam call 3/6/18 from this number

Left a voice mail saying (the first part was not recorded):

"...24 working hours and once again expired. After that you will be taken into custody by the local cops as there are serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you. The number to reach us is 616-929-4750. Thank you."

This is totally bogus.

This is one of the worst ones. Message with broken english, "local cops will pick you up". Scary of anyone is dumb enough to buy into this

I was left this voice message:
“And once again expired after that you will be _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ custody by the local cops as there are _⁠_⁠_⁠_ serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment we would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you the number to reach us is 616-929-4750 I repeat 616-929-4750 thank you…”
My name was never used. So dumb and at first frightful. Glad to see others reported this scam! Thank you all!!!

Same thing happened and didn't even say the right name! Smh

Literally just almost had me. She was Chinese and the other guy was a middle eastern.

Same thing just happened to me. Said “ And once again expired after that you will be taken into custody by the local cops as there are serious allegations pressed against your name”. Doesn’t say a company, doesn’t what’s expired. The term “local cops” is what made it sound like a scam.

Recorded message saying there were serious charges against me and I'd bettwr call back or cops would show up at my door to arrest me.
