I received a call from this number this past weekend. She had to leave a message because I was busy. My fiance throught it sounded fishy too. I called and left a message before I gooled this. When they call back, I am going to ignore there call. Who has time for this crap. I believe David's Bridal must of sold my information:(

OK, so I went to one of these. Here's the final word on this Global Lifestyles thing.

My fiance and I had been to a bridal expo the weekend before and filled out several cards for raffles/drawings/promotions, none of which were Global Lifestyles. My fiance was excited to receive a call declaring that she had won a free honeymoon! Hooray!

So clearly one of the stands we visited had sold our info to Global Lifestyles (by the way, why is a company that sells cookware and cutlery called "Global Lifestyles"? And wtf is with their webpage? "Your future is our business today". What does that have to do with anything? A picture of people standing next to the pyramids? Not one single pot or pan on the home page?) But I digress....

The presentation was 90 minutes of pure misery. I attempted to gouge out my ear drums several times to distract myself from the pain, only to be thwarted by my fiance. The cookware itself was ridiculously overpriced and an unbelievable rip-off (something like $1,500 for a 10-piece set). The presenter bragged about the "special" 30-50% off we get if we buy the cookware that night, only later to say that you can only buy these products at a showing like this (so how is this a discount if it's impossible to buy anywhere at full price?) There wasn't a person in the room over 25 so they were obviously targeting young, inexperienced consumers.

So, as promised, we were not required to purchase anything. As soon as the presentation was over, we asked what we needed to do to get our free hotel stay. We were handed a paper with a validation code and the Terms and Conditions of our hotel rental.

We found out that the hotel rental actually goes through another company, the Odenza Marketing Group. You need to pay a $100.00 deposit fee to Odenza, which I found through some reading has a decent chance of not finding its way back to you. After a quick Google Search on this Odenza Marketing Group, I found nothing but bad things and more shadiness: http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/odenza-marketing-group-c246492.html

Here are some excerpts from the Terms and Conditions:

"All vacation offers are subject to Odenza's availability and promotional inventory." [Odenza rents a certain number of hotel rooms and them rents them to you. So you go by whatever they have available; not the hotel.]

"Odenza reserves the right to offer an alternate travel date and or destination." [So they can literally just change your reservation however they see fit.]

"Check in for this offer will take place from Sunday through Wednesday only. Travel is not permitted during any State, Provincial or Federal Holiday. Additional charges may apply for travel during peak periods." [So if the summer is considered a peak period, and you have a job, you basically can't use this promotion even if you wanted to.]

"Odenza reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice." [Never a good thing to see written in any terms and conditions. You gotta at least admire their courage for just blatantly putting this in there.]

Bottom line, completely ignore this offer if you get it. Scam, scam, scam. Call the bridal expos you attend to complain about allowing this crap to go on at what should be a legitimate event that prescreens this kind of BS.

Thank you for taking the time out to give all this information to other people who ultimately will be scammed by these indecent people. I appreciate this; I won't even bother calling them.

Basically the same call as the rest of you: I've won a bridal package/trip in a national bridal drawing and i need to call back to reserve my spot. I'm almost tempted to call back to mess with her, but it's not worth my time.

So, everyone's reporting this number but no one is really saying if this is a scam or legit. Got the same call too--declined thinking that it was a scam...called back a few days later...now I'm thinking that it was a stupid idea to call back.

She made sure to say that I had to call her back immediately because they can't hold the package for long. I don't believe this crap.

I got a phone call today, telling me that I won the same prize package as mentioned above... I made the appointment to go tomorrow (Sunday) to see if it's worth it.... I will keep you all informed if it's legit. I am a stubborn Italian, and if I'm pressured to buy, they'll be getting a piece of my mind! I was promised NO OBLIGATION TO BUY, so that's what I better get! Wish me luck!! :o)

I recieved these same calls, more than 5 to be exact. I could not understand the name of the company in the voicemail messages, almost as though they purposely garbled it so I would call back. Like everyone else I was informed that I had won a bridal package and vacation. I assumed it was a scam and did not call back till after the 5th phone call just to get them to stop calling. I was informed when I called that I won the vacation, the discount offer for other companies, and a special discount on their products. All I had to do was show up at a local hotel and sit through a product demonstration with, of course, no obligation to buy. I was also told I HAD to bring my fiance with me. I asked why and was told the company had to verify we were both getting the gift. I suppose if your fiance is in the military or travels for work you just don't get the prize you "won"? The whole thing sounds suspect to me. I looked up the company website and it looks cheap and unprofessional. That and the fact that others have reported the company representing themselves as Chefworld and Global Life Syle, just makes me think this is a scam. I was told they got my name from a local bridal show that I did not even attend. I also went to David's Bridal to try on dresses and gave them my information. I had already decided not to buy my dress from David's due to the bad experience I had there. The saleswoman kept bringing me dresses in the opposite style I had asked for 3 sizes too small, then told me I had to buy the $1000.00 dress right then and there or I would not have a dress for my wedding. This was October 1st, and my wedding is in May. I didn't even like the dress! I have also gotten numerous emails from "partners" of David's Bridal.
I am not going to this show to collect my "prize" because I think this is scam. How many cystal goblets do they sell to be able to afford 3 day vacations in the Bahhamas for all these couples every month? It's just not possible.

I recieved a call today from Global Iifestyles, saying that i won a 2 night 3 day trip of my location of choose. Also, a coupon book with $1000 worth of coupons. I asked her to send me a valid email or something she said to go on the website.... wierd. she kept saying i will not have to pay anything. that i would need to go to the Holiday Inn and sit threw a seminar for an hour and half. to me it just felt really scamish.. She gave me a claim number to bring with me. she told me that she was calling from New York and that Eric was flying down to deliver the gifts- told me that i need to pick a time to go Sunday at Noon, or Monday at 600pm or 830pm. I told her i needed to talk with my fiance to see when is good. she told me that i need to hold a spot and i can call back if i need to change the time. To me it just felt wierd, the whole conversations.
i called the Holiday inn express, and the lady didnt know if anything was going on in the banquet room. (i will call back and ask something else, she might not be aware.)

I also received a call from this agency claiming they were from the bridal department and that I had won a prize and a trip. I attempted to look up the company and found nothing that related to a real bridal service.
