It's not really Google. They're calling to see if you answer your phone. If you do, you get added to a list of people who answer their phones - these lists get sold to people who try to scam you or to telemarketers who will call you even more. Best to not answer the phone unless you know who is calling.

Automated sales call for directory listing to my cell number. Gives option to "press 9 to be removed from our list" but have still gotten several calls since doing that over two weeks ago. Illegal automated phone call (non-human operator).

They will never stop harassing you. I get at least two calls from the every day. Google and the mobile carriers are not doing enough to prevent this.

they won't stop calling from different parts of the country. I've been added to don't call lists and have asked them to stop but they hang up when I request. Something about a google listing but they're just harassing assholes.

Google wouldn't do such a shady business. This is a scam company using Googles name probably. Pressing 9 to be removed doesn't work. I press 1 to talk to a real person and then curse till they hang up. :))

Hung up. Tried calling again and got a weird signal with a following hang up series. Telemarketer most likely for Google listing crap.
