I have nomorobo which usually does a great job with auto-dialing spammers. Somehow it missed this "urgent" call to lower my interest rate...same old same old. They did leave a message, which is unusual for these kinds of calls.

I was on a business call and this number called and called 5 times back to back in a 10 min span. Get the hint. If the person doesn't pick up the first time, chances are they know this number is spam and aren't interested. Very annoying as every time the call came through it beeped and paused the current call that was in session.

Called my cell. Didn't pick up. Caller ID said Tonawanda, NY. Surprised to see a voicemail. Automated message that was cut off (probably started talking when my greeting started). Something about final notice about taking advantage of something relating to the financial stimulus.
Needless to say that was immediately deleted.

Yet another unsolicited call on my cell. Blocked/blacklisted. So annoying. There should be a federal law that when "x" amount of complaints are posted, the number shut down. Robo calls should be outlawed!

Automated call that asked if i wanted to lower my credit card interest rate. I was 64th caller and amazingly enough they got to me in about 4 min. They asked if I had an account over 2K, then asked if i had the card or a statement. I said no and he said he was Jay Williams and wanted me to call him back @ 1 800 847-2911 and his agent # 3531. I told him i call back when my wife got home, he told me to call back between 9-6 EST.

Scammers.
Don't ever call these idiots back or acknowledge their calls in any way (ex: press 1 to remove from list, calling the number back, etc.) as doing so will flag your number as being an "active number." The scammers then put your "active number" on a list that they sell to other scammers and you will actually get MORE calls!
