Everyone saying this is Capital One Fraud dept. is part of the scam. These people are lying to you. This number is not an affiliate with Capital One. It's another scam by overseas dirt bags. The comments on here claiming it's real are from people who are behind the scam. Do not listen to them. This is a SCAM. I have the robocaller block app that listed this number as spam.

This is Capital One Fraud Department. They are amazing to work with when there has been an unauthorized use of your credit card. They just saved me $55.00 on a fraudulent charge and issued a new card before more damage could be done. Sign up for their notification service and you will get a text message each time your card number is used - you'll get it before you even step away from the register or as soon as you complete an on-line purchase.

They called me today. Left a message saying they are calling me to let me know my fraud case had been resolved. If I had any questions to call 800-215-1921 8-8pm Eastern Time. This is a real number and not a spam number. I did have a fraud claim and now it's over. The number is legit :)

Called me on 7/30/19 claiming to be from Capital One fraud department on a recorded line. I told him that I was recording the call too. As soon as I said that, he put me on hold and never came back. I called Capital One customer service and they verified that 800-215-1921 is not a Capital One phone number and also verified there was no recent fraudulent activity on my account.

call from 1-800-215-1921 . Claiming to be "Capital One Fraud Department", they asked me to call back about some possible fraud. Instead, I called the number on the back of my card, and they confirmed that there was no fraud on my card. The original call was probably a phishing scam.

Received same scam call. Called identified himself as "Zach" and said he needed to speak to me about a recent fraud claim. I had not filed any fraud claim. Gave the number 800-215-1921, ext. 2918764, and his work hours EST 9 am to 7:30 pm, M-Th.

Received a call from this number claiming to be from the Capital One fraud department. I called back from the number on the back of my card and confirmed that the call I had received was legitimate. This is one of several numbers used by the Cap One fraud department, and I was able to get connected to the person who had called me by calling back from the number on my card, though it took longer that way.

Called me about my fraud claim. When I called back they did ask to leave a detailed message including full acct # or full SSN. I called the number on the back of my card, they confirmed the person who tried calling me is legit and that they were trying to finalize my fraud claim.

I received a call from 800-215-1921. He said his name was Jeff from Capital One Fraud Dept. This is a PHISHING SCAM call. Beware. The scam caller sounds like an actual agent. "caucasian" accent and ends call with "thank you for choosing Capital One.". Contacted the real Capital One's Fraudulent Dept. The agent stated that the real Cap1 will not spell out a call-back number but urge you to call the actual bank card number on the back of your card. The real Cap1 agent called back 800-215-1921. He reached voicemail that stated to leave a detailed message including your credit card number. HAHA. which the real Cap1 one will never do. Hope these criminals get busted one day.

My company was contacted today from 800-215-1921 stating he was investigating a capital one fraudulent acct. He knew my business name, amount of purchase and said he could give me the credit card number if needed. Keep in mind, I am the business that took the card. I explained that I would research this & call him back. I looked up the info & found it was a very loyal customer of ours. Scary how they knew the amt. of charge & to whom. I left message with our customer & also contacted Capital One. They honestly did not care. I told Cap. One that I would never have a card with them. He didn't want the number or ext. that called me. He didn't care that my customer's info had been compromised.

DO NOT GIVE THESE SWINDLING PAVEMENT APES ANY OF YOUR INFO; IT'S A SCAM! This is a "number spoof" where they leave a different number for you to call & say to call back Shaniqua, Shanice, Jamal, Dayquan or whatever frickin' names they pull out of their asses at some bizarro, long ass extension. If you ever have any doubt of problems with your CapitalOne or other credit companies, call their REAL fraud departments & speak with them! CaptialOne's REAL fraud dept number is listed on their website. Stupid monkeys; go work for money like the rest of us!

This number called me and it was the actual fraud department from Capital One. I had my card cloned and used by someone, and this is the number they call you from to tell you the status of the fraud claim.

I've been frauded, and I do believe that this guy is the criminal, he uses this number
1-800-215-1921 and a fake form to assess information about your fraud case so he
can determine how deep you've pursued the case.. I contacted capitol one, and they would be stupid to outsource fraud, I mean it makes no sense.. I do believe the naysayers on here are in fact supporting the fraud or are under suspicion that it isn't. I'll tell you what I know..

The guy sounds like he is black, he has poor diction, he did not seem to care about me, he talked over me, he would not discuss my case, he was more concerned with "if I knew who it was".. I told me that I had already closed the fraud case with that card. I determined from how he spoke that he was "not a professional", he sounded like a collector more than a experienced investigator. He also mentioned different numbers on the charges than were on my credit report, even the credit card company had confirmed the numbers I had.. I told him I did not have the full credit card number, and he filled out the numbers I did not have.. I recall one credit card company say they were not at freedom to release those numbers without proper authorization..

Keep one thing in mind, these people only commit shallow fraud, they won't go to the extent of assuming your full identity because you have enough people who know you, they only want to get in deep enough that they can fraud the credit card companies and banks.. The deeper they go the more information can be traced back to them. They may even tend to fraud black people more, because a documentary I saw on AIDS in black america states that black people tend to be concerned about "their business" and try to keep things secret, therefore a lot of information goes unreported, like credit card fraud, rapes, etc.. I admit that its the white america that did it to them, examples being the 60's housing projects in St. Louis and how people were segregated by the LA police in Los Angeles, I've seen documentaries on these.. Okay I'm sounding like oen pretty paranoid, but at least I'm original.. Originality counts..

Accountability is half of security, accountability is how you fight criminals, because they don't want to be accountable.. The other half of security is "encryption" and privately held ID's.. They care more about that.. But the idea is to draw them in and find out as much as you can about them.. Such as asking them for a name so you can contact them through capitol one's main line.

It is my belief that it is not one person but a crime network that is involved in this..

I decided to hide my name, but the amount of detail I gave, and the care I give to this, I feel would be enough to tell that I am real. The name is of someone I distantly know, who might be able to recall I worked with the party boy surfer and that curly hair graphics professor, and the gay jewish media dept head with glasses and white beard white hair. Gwen used to head an organization in the 90s.
