I was called also. I've never had a ATT Account. Now I see from others that they pose from DirectTv, also and lots of others.Said I had overdue bill, what's strange though, is that I also got a bill from ATT saying I owed money. Was going to look up billing address and it crashed. I will try it later!

It was a robo call

Sent text message saying they had issued a $35.00 credit to my AT&T account. I don't even have AT&T.

Yep they called and like all numbers i don't recognize i don't answer. If no one answered calls from those not on your contact list there would be no robo calls. Why is that hard to understand?

Att&t robo caller

On my Visa activity for last month (February 2019) I saw a charge for $64 labeled as: "AT&T: *Payment 800-228-2020 TX." That seemed strange so I checked my last AT&T invoice online. I paid the bill online using my credit card (I usually send a check).. for that amount. So, this is a legitimate charge on my Visa for my landline payment. Although, I do not understand why they include the designation for the 800 number.

received a call from 1-800-288-2020 today stating they needed to make modifications on my tv because there were a lot of complaints about problems with my other carrier and they needed to send someone out to make the modifications. the lady also said at&t was associated with my other carrier. I told her NOT to send anyone out to my location to make any type of modifications and asked if I made myself clear and she hung up

Indian man claiming to be with AT&T called to ask serial # of my current directv box. The serial # was necessry to ensure my box would work with the new sattelite. I told him his request did not sound right and I hung up.

This information was taken from Google postings of other people posting a scam of an ATT impersonator who asked for personal information relating to bogus install appointments.

Received call, do not answer, went to answering machine; dead air. Fount out this is a scam call trying to steal your identity; posing as AT&T
