Get a call from this number 2X a day.
How do we shut these b*stards down?
Caller says they represent Citi Financial, but they DO NOT.
First, they give you a (very) long winded speech about nothing to wear you down.
Secondly, they read your name & address to you for confirmation, in order to provide a false sense of reassurance.
Finally, they ask you to volunteer your date of birth!!! Attempting to solicit this sensitive information is a criminal practice.
When pressed, they indicate they are a contact company hired by Citi Financial. That may or may not be true, but they are essentially phishing for sensitive personal and financial information.
I'm so surprised as very few people have my NEW phone number yet!
but these guys got at least my name and phone number.
the few that have my number include: Government,The phone company, Credit card companies,
this number kept calling me so out of worry that i had missed a phone bill or something i called it back. the message immediately asked if i was calling to get on their 'do not call list'. naturally i chose this option which required me to punch in my phone number. after doing this a friend pointed out that by me doing that i just confirmed with them that my phone number connects to a real person! Now the calls are even more persistent and often! don't make the same mistake!
Starting to get a call from this number every hour.
I am not answering nor I will ever answer any non known number because I am on a pre-paid cellphone.
