I got hit with the same exact charge over the weekend. Charge Date: 10/29/2010 Post Date: 10/30/2010 MBRSHIP FEE 800-934-4751 GBR $58.97

My card is an HSBC Bank Credit Card known as the Best Buy RewardZone MasterCard. I have used that card everywhere I can think of, physically and electronically... including Amazon and I have my Netflix automatically withdraw from that card as well. I am in Rhode Island. I do use Facebook as well.

I was shocked, and for some reason slightly relieved when I Googled the phone number and found this thread... I simply used the "dispute charge" link that is at the bottom of every single charge listed in my online statement. I hope HSBC and MC get to the bottom of this... I can't believe this is possible!

Whoever did it is swimming in riches right now... If they took that amount from every MasterCard across the USA, then they're totally big pimpin' now... and some people got hit twice or more for varying amounts!!

This is crap. . . i can't believe it is this easy for anyone to take money right off our debit cards. I had the same thing happen. called the number. . can't find info on it any where. I will open a dispute tomorrow with my bank. . . Lts see if we can find a common denominator between all of us. I don't use my card for much so I am ging to tell you the last things i have done. first it is a debit card from my college and the last place I used it was to rent a car on vacation. . . does this ring a bellwith anyone.

checked my bank account and found the same charge of 58.97 and one for .47. went to the bank filed a unauthorized charge report, had to cancel my debit card and filed a report with the police. Please file a report, don't let these scammers get away with this crap.

Similar story....My bank account was charged a "MBRSHIP FEE 800-934-4751 GBR" $58.97 on 11/01/10...and I have no knowledge of what it is. Like the rest of the complaints, I tried calling the number which says ..."Thank you for calling G????(can't make it out)...all of our agents are currently assisting other customers, please leave a detail message along with your full name and phone number and we will return your call...thank you and have a great day" CLICK...it disconnects. I called my bank...I need to come in and fill out paperwork to dispute the charges...If you are a victim of this scam, please take the time to report it...

Same exact thing happened to me this week, I went to my bank and filled out papers to dispute this charge, they told me that they have heard alot of this thing happening. They said that bank account will be fully funded. I also got a transaction that said international fee $1.77. What a bunch of crap!!!!

This also happened to my Mastercard on 10/29/10. I checked my account on 11/3/10 and there were the charges. I called the number and it says leave a message but then it hangs up on you.

Same thing as all the other posts here. I seen this membership charge of $58.97 + a charge for .47. I called my bank and they figured my debit card had some how been compromised. I'm very upset that some pukes like this can get away with this. I have not bought any thing online in a long time. I went online and printed out pages from google about this # and the complaints that have been posted. Took it to my bank and they were very happy to see this and the dispute should not be a problem. I recommend everyone do the same thing. That way the bank can't get all snotty with you if you know what I mean. Good luck to everyone .

I too have been a victim of this scam. I called and try to listen very closely to the message, and the lady on the recording said she was from Grant Customer Service. I tried to google it, and really didnt come up with much. so maybe someone else will have better luck. she said the same message as everyone else said happened. I waited for a beep to leave a message but nothing. I did report it to my bank as fraud, but now I have to wait 3-5 business days to even see if I get anything back. This happened back on 10/29/10...wonder how it got to peoples credit card numbers, or even debit card numbers.

Noticed a charge on my mastercard. The description on the statment said "membership fee" and then the 800 number. When I called, I received the same message as stated in Kim's post and was also disconnected without the opportunity to leave a message. Luckily, since it's on my credit card rather than debit card, I think it will be reversed.

I looked at 800notes.com and this has happened all across the US. But no one knows how it happened or who it is.
