Up until 10/28/2009 I was working for this company called "dealer services" selling extended auto warranties over the telephone phone for several years now. The new manager of the lakewood, new jersey office Daniel Webb (as of late 2007 until the Present time), has been lying to and has been misrepresenting customers about the actual policies we sell, (example if it is an engine warranty, he will explain it as a bumper to bumper policy because of the cheaper price, and lower payments), and also on a daily basis quite often misrepresenting the entire company "dealer services" as a specific car dealership, or manufacturer in some cases, and also himself as the "fianance manager", and or the "general sales manager"at which ever dealership he claims to be calling from!! Even threatening customers with repossession of thier automobile for a non payment for something these people arent even required to have on thier cars! Sometimes Mr. Webb will even pose as a law enforcement officer as a scare tactic after he is denied of a sale! Now our company is a nationwide insurance marketing agency...we have no ties to any one car manufacturer and or any one car dealership....this is a serious crime in the insurance industry....i know this because i have been in the business now going on 7 years... something has to be done about Daniel Webb!! There has been several accounts of customers calling back to make serious complaints about this,several people have called back and played recordings of this, sometimes even police officers he's spoken too. The owner, and CEO of this company "dealer services" Michael B. Shaftel knows about this, and refuses to do anyhing about it because he is a chairman on the BBB for the state of NJ. I think that this is really unfair and against several state, and federal laws. google his name im sure you will see severl items posted from consumers nationwide about this man and this company.
