Tired of them calling
0

They called me as well on my job and on my cell phone saying that they will be serving me papers at my job....she didn't know that I was Googling her number while on the phone with her and she refused then hung up when I asked her to give me the names of the partners of the firm she was calling me from. Also, she said that their office was in California but she was calling me from a Virginia phone number. SMH. So tired of information being sold to fraudulent companies that try to scam people out of the little bit of money that we legally earn.

Message on my voice mail says, " Contacting you from the Processing Summons. . ." Then it cuts off. Then it says My First and Last Name in robot voice number 2 then comes back in original automated voice the says," I am contacting you from the processing summons division. I am callin' to notify you that there will be two charges filed against you in your county. Looks like fraudulent activity has been attached to your name and social security number." Then robot voice number 2 comes back and says my first and last name. Then original voice comes back with " I do need to make you aware of your legal rights to address your charges prior to them being filed against you. You will need to do so before you receive your summons at your place of employment or at your home address once your served your rights will be forfeited. Case number is . . ." 3rd robot voice says HH1------ . . . .Then original robot voice says, "Their telephone number is . . ." Then 3rd robot voice says, " 8044204838", Back to original robot voice says, " You will need to speak to someone in their legal department."
What company ??? Who is calling me??? What is the name of the representative?? The original voice is an African American woman the other two are Caucasian women but the number reading is a really strong robotic voice. Calls one a day or twice every day and this started when I began searching for colleges to go to online. Like Kaplan, National, UIE. back in January. I may change my number and use a pay as you go phone for all online crap. I typed this word for word. Even though the number is blocked the voicemail still goes through. How can I block and stop all calls from them.

They called me today saying they were pressing 2 charges against me in the county in which I lived. And that they were going to serve me with a summons. They tries this exact same scam on me last year. Unfortunately they got 2 payments off my debit card for $124.50 each.I got a new debit card w/ new account number to put a stop to them doing it again.

The first person i talked to was Tiffany Daniels. Though i didn't know that at first. I called back seeing what it was concerning and i got a rude woman stating i owe this company so much money but i can settle out of court right now, i said i didn't get a loan and if i did i paid it off. She asked if i had a receipt, i said not on me, having to go to my bank for that to be possible. She said good luck with being sued and hung up. I went to my bank after and looked at everything i did for over 3 years, never did any loans, as i knew there hadn't. And my bank called the number, they put my bank on hold and didn't pick up.

If this is a bill collector, they do not identify themselves as such. If they are not a bill collector, then they are clearly trying to get people to call back and provide/confirm personal information. There is a recorded message saying they are calling from the "Process & Summons Division"...but they don't identify what organization or company. They claim that there will be two charges filed against you in "your county". It says, "Looks like fraudulent activity has attached to your name and your social security number." They state that you must address the charges filed against you prior to a summons being served at your place of employment or your home address; and that once a summons is served, your rights are forefieted, (which is nonsense). They give the same number they are calling from, but speak as if it's a different organization, (again, never identifying the organization or what type of charges supposedly exist), and tell you that you must speak to someone in "their Legal department".
Clearly, there is no intent to file charges. Clearly, they are using scare tactics and not legit; making them the ones committing 'fraudulent activity'. I would love to speak to them to see what other nonsense they may try; but the two calls a day I receive occur during work hours and I can't take the calls.I'd like to know what person or company this is truly tied to. I expect it may be a debt collector...but trying to collect on a debt I no longer owe. I recently received a letter from a debt collector, trying to collect on a credit card I haven't had in 28 years and that was part of a bankruptcy 27 years ago; so I'm wondering if these clowns are tied to that.

thye have been calling me for 2 days-I called today held forever-everytime she asked me a question-I answered by asking her the same question-she was getting irritated w/me. She refused to tell me their location it is protocol-did stated they are Goldman & associates a law firm handling collections. When I finally agreed to give her the case # she told me-forget it now-since you refused in the beginning-whatever is going to happen to you , will just happen-I believe that is a threat-I knew this would be a scam but they are actually calling my 80yr old mothers home so I felt I needed to get them to stop calling her. There is very little the police or anyone can do-they use equipment that reroutes the calls-most likely they might even be in a forgein country. I do know that if they are a legitimate company they aren't allowed to leave any personal info on a voicemail unless the message firmly ID's you. Telling me I will forfeit my rights is also a threat. When I told the lady I was recording the call and had a Sheriff Deputy on the other line listening she got very bold-told me she didn't give me permission to record her-I told her "ditto" we finally hung up....I almost wish they would serve me at work-then I could find them and press charges!

I would like to know the channels to stop this person and how and what info they have on me - because this did concern me all night until I looked this after trying to return the call. Should I contact FCC or attorney gen office in my state? I would hate for them to intimidate a vulnerable or sick and elderly person and get their info.

Same story. This company/firm/whatever made two recorded calls to our home phone. Messages claimed [someone who moved out in 2004] facing lawsuit, 2 charges of Social Security Fraud, summons will be delivered to home or workplace, call 804-420-4838 or he would forfeit legal rights. Uh-huh. I called, started to explain [name] had moved out in 2004. The woman who answered put me on hold to "look up the case number" then broke connection and would not pick up phone on my next three attempts to call back. Then I Googled the number, learned she asks for caller's SS# and home address, i.e., voice phishing.

I just got a recording stating the very same as all of these other callers leaving phone number 804-420-4838 and stating I had only a couple of days to call them before I got charged with fraud. They gave me their name on the voice message as Elvis Smith Jr and also gave me a case #. I am so happy all of you left your messages as this did frighten me, I know now this is a scam. Thank you everyone that left comments.

So this number calls me everyday and at first when I answered they wouldn't say anything and the phone would hang up. So everyday I never paid it any attention because I had so much going on that it wasn't my main focus, however the last time a robotic automated women telling me my name and case number and stating that I have fraudelant charges and I will be served at work or home. So I decided to call them to find out what the hell their talking about. So Miss nasty lady answers and during the first 6 calls she placed me on hold (fast) and never returned the last call she answered asked for my case number, I told her I don't have the number she asked for the phone number and that I gave since she already had.. its the same woman everytime with the nastiest attitude. So she says can I have the last 4 digits of your social I told her no and asked for the name and address for the company she told me for security purposes that she cant give me the address so I said so for security you want me to give you my social but you wont give me the address and she hung up.. IM soo livid right now I wish I could find her so I can give her a piece of my mind. The phone companies are selling our phone numbers this needs to stop.
