Claimed to be from Cox, which I had requested, but they asked for my SSN and didn't sound like they knew what they were doing or what I was talking about when I asked specific question. I had none of those issues when I called their official number.

Cox cable trying to set us up with service. Claims utility company referred us, BUT there is no Cox Cable anywhere near our area. Asked ssn. EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS!

YUP , THESE IDOTS ARE NOT THE GENUINE COX COMMUNICATION. THEY ARE TRYING TO STEAL YOUR INFO, DONT GIVE IT TO THEM. REPORT THEM TO COX AND THE FCC WEBSITE WHERE YOU CAN LOG YOUR COMPLAINT

they are cox communications. yes, the are internet/tv/cable company; they had called me and also asked for ssn/address/etc, but the apartment company i had signed a lease for had notified me ahead of time that they referred me to cox and cox would be calling in a few hours.
