They called me today and a female voice left a message that unless I called
them back that my computer would stop working by the end of the day. My
computer was purchased from Micron many years ago. Micron went out of
business but my computer is just fine.
received message that my computer would no longer work as of last night, called the number and they called my back. The man Michael Cole said my microsoft subscription had run out and he as a Microsoft agent could get it working again. When I question he was with Microsoft he kept saying he was and if I would open my computer and follow his instruction he could prove he knew my Identity number. He said my Microsoft account only worked for six months on purchase of the computer, I was going to be hacked and he could protect me from that.and make sure all of my programs would work. I asked his location he said "Washington DC"
I refused to givve him any information on my computer and told him I was contacting the store where it wa purchased last year. I hung up on him.
This afternoon there was another call leaving the message my computer would no longer be supported. The was the same caller, a woman, that had left the previous message. later in the afternoon "Michael Cole" called, after identifying himeself started in on how important it was to get the 5 year protection and left a message for me to call him. I did not call and deleted the message. This man had an accent that sounded like those from the Phillippines.
He was hard to understand.
i got the call today didn't answer they left a message to call 866-833-0646 said this is very important phone call it an emergency call to renew Microsoft or my service will stop at the end of the day.
Michrosoft scam. They want me to renew my subscription or everything on my computer will stop working TODAY. There's nothing to renew. I purchased this computer outright and own everything on it. These people have called me twice today.
Yes, I got the same call on my online phone answering machine. I have to call 866-833-0646 to "renew" before the day is over. The cabal is getting soooo desperate!
