I had a call from this number, the caller was asking information about my "NRA account" he never said National Rifle Assoc, just kept using their initials. He ask for the account number and card used for "verification purposes" I told him "If it were the National Rifle Assoc, they had my information." he got more intense, demanding my account number and card associated. . . . . .
Finally got him to admit, he was not calling with the National Rifle Assoc. . . it's a scammer using their name. . . simple fix. . . Block the number. . . .

It's the National Rifle Association trying to get me to answer so they can get me to give them money. I won't renew my membership and they won't give up--let them get it from the Russians.

I think it's the National Recovery Association, not the National Rifle Association. They won't tell you what NRA means.

Been getting calls from these "people" for months from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM. They refuse to identify what NRA means but want me to identify myself, which I DO NOT DO! They are rude, nasty, arrogant, and won't stop calling, and they have more than one number they call from. They don't care that my number is on the do not call list. They INSIST that I have to identify myself before they will tell me what NRA means. How can I stop them from calling???

It is not the National Rifle Association...it is the National Recovery Association....a "debt collector"....However, actually it is a scam.

I have learned how to deal with ROBO calls:
1. if it takes more than a quarter second for the other end to respond to your 'hello' it's a dead ringer. Or,
2. If the response to your 'Hello?' is "Hello?" another dead ringer (pun intended!)
I answered my dad's phone and as I was hanging up (see hint #1), I heard the caller say [my dad's first name]? I continued dropping the call.
Whatever list he was using gave him dad's name as well.

have called several times, have asked that they take our number and name off their list and yet they continue to call. Has gotten to the point, where we hit the answer button and immeadiately hang up on them.

Phone was ringing as I got out of the car with heavy bags of groceries. I hurried in to catch what I thought was an important call, and the creeps hung up when I answered.

Frequent calls from the NRA via this 866 number or the 877 number..Damned sleazy and so was the gun bag I ordered.......The NRA log upside down and Made in China.WTF.The NRA couldn't have their product Made in the U.S.A?? Sleazy !
