I received a call about having a driver's license in another state. Answered it. They were asking for my dob and social. Hung up and called Progressive's number through the app. Not sure if the original call was a spam but they DID need to clarify on my drivers license.
Most definitely a scam!!!! Even the scammer is making non scam comments above are scams. Seriously "D with Progressive" and "Insurance Holder Bob". Well I'm just stupid for answering a call and being busy thinking nothing of the sort. Call progressive for real and ensure they are tracking and annotate your account.
Not a scam. I did not take the call, but did a search of the phone number and landed on this site. After reading the comments, I called the number for progressive that was listed on my policy. I explained I received 2 calls with no message. When I called te number back the messge said to call progressive regarding updating my Driver's license information. The lady at progressive said that my driver's license number was no longer valid. I had moved to another state and they did not have my new driver's license number. I never thought about letting them know. So definately called the progressive number listed on your policy if you receive a call.
It's a scam. Called progressive and they did not call me. Dont ever give out your information.
This is not a scam its a request for verification on an active insurance policy typically in the circumstance that the DL on file is for a state that doesn't match the state the policy is written in.
