I got a text advising me to call the number about a suspicious transaction. I did, and it is legit. It is the SECU fraud department. The lady who answered didn't ask any person questions. However, if you are worried, call the number on the SECU website or the number on your credit/debit card. There is always someone answering the phone at SECU.
This is the NC SECU Fraud Dept. I got a message to call this number before an online purchase would go through for security purchases. I called the number directly and called the NC SECU Call Center and connected to the Fraud Dept through them to verify it was legit before I answered any security questions.
This is a legitimate number from the NC SECU bank's fraud department. This is not spam.
This is the State Credit Union. They just called me to ask if I'd used my card in another state yesterday, saving me from a thief. So definitely answer it!
