Definitely a scam. They said they were verifying transactions on my business card account. I had given them my exp date and last four of my card. I called my bank and they said they DID not call me. Now I had to cancel my card.

Same as everyone else. Harsh sounding woman left a fairly rude message using my maiden last name instead of my current name and stated the name of my bank and "VISA." It then switched to a recording with the phone number that everyone else has reported. I called the number on the back of my card instead and asked them to look through all of my accounts. Nothing was flagged and there were no notes suggesting that anyone was trying to contact me regarding transactions. Fraudulent call or weird mistake.

received a message to call this #888-230-1570 to verify recent activity on my Fidelity account / linked visa card. The message started out with a lady who was virtually unintelligible who played a recording of a man requesting me to call the number to verify transactions. I'M ALREADY SUSPICIOUS SINCE THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED WITH FIDELITY FOR ABOUT 20 YEARS NOW, THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, RELAYED MESSAGE, POOR PHONE SILLS/SPEECH, ETC. Step 1 I checked mt account activity-all legit made by me-Step 2-called suspicious #, they made it sound legit with recordings about call being recorded, please wait for next available rep, etc., but they never identified the company/ Again suspicious. Got the same lady, or another one with equally poor communication skills. She asked for the phone number the message was left on. Suspicious, but gave her that since they already had the number, Then she wanted to verify my name. That's where I drew the line and asked who she was and what company she worked for, That seemed to stump them, She babbled something unintelligible and that they were trying to verify my card transactions. I told he I already did and they were all fine. That sent her into some sort of unintelligible double talk that someone could be using my card info to make purchases that wouldn't show on my account?????? At nay rate I told her I wasn't going to verify any information with her and ended the call. I then called the number on my credit card and found out it was indeed a legit call that
fidelity does use a 3rd party vendor to verify suspicious transactions (I made several small online purchases from foreign country vendors) I then verified my transactions with her and asked her to inform Fidelity management that they are wasting their time and money. Nobody is going to verify financial information with a 3rd party initiated call. All it will do is generate an unnecessary call into their customer service dept

They called and left a message asking for me to call them back concerning recent charges on my account. I called the 888-230-1570 number and the lady asked me for my phone number, which I gave her.

"It's the same number your company just called," I told her. She could not find it in the system. I asked her to repeat the number back to me and she did. That was my number, but somehow it wasn't in their system five minutes after leaving me a voice mail.

Then, she said she could look it up by the card number and wanted my card info. At this point I told her she could be in China scamming people for all I knew. I asked her to verify her identity and she said, "Card Serv...um..Transaction Review Department."

If it's legit, then they have terrible training and customer service.

Seemed suspect at first, but it turned to be a legitimate phone call from 1st Data Corp. calling to verify transactions on a debit card with Comerica Bank. They didn't ask for any account numbers, just the phone number on which the message was received.

Got a call from them. Called them back. All they asked from me was my phone number they had called and left a message on. They were questioning several debits on my call. They called them back out to me and they were all legit charges. My wife did tell me she couldn't use it earlier. But everything was working fine once I had called them back

UMB, Possible 3rd party verification. I had a problem and my UMB card would not work at an ATM. Lster that same day I had a voice mail to verify my card. They left the message on at my work phone but did not get it until the following week. I called UMB direct and found there was a hold on my card and rep said it was there fraud dept. Maybe other companies use the same as a 3rd party? Anyway what happened UMB sent out a new card and I must of put it aside and did not activate it therefore a few weeks later triggered there fraud detection. In my case I felt safer calling the UMB direct to get things corrected.

Appears to be legitimate according to Paypal, however I phoned Paypal directly through customer support and did NOT phone the 888-230-1570 number.

This is a legitimate company that called to alert me to purchases that someone unknown made to my Visa card. I was then given my bank's customer service number to order a new card. All legit. So you better call them back.

I received a call this evening from this phone number to my landline. They left a message stating they were PayPal and with the Transaction Review Department. Stated my full name... The number is not related to anything PayPal is showing, so I called PayPal directly. PayPal has no knowledge of this phone call. There are no transactions under question. Phishing scam. If you fill out ANYTHING online, someone somewhere has access to your info, don't fall into giving them more. Be sure to call your bank/card company directly.

Got a call about a flagged transaction. Didn't seem legit. Called my bank directly (UMB). Yes there was a flagged transaction. Yes they contract that work out.

CONCLUSION: SEEMS LEGIT.

This is a legit call, for me they just wanted to verify my last transactions to make sure I made them. The only info I gave them was my name and they knew my past transactions based off that.

I received a call from 888-230-1570, it was a legitimate Fidelity account transaction verification system. They asked me to provide my phone number, and verify my date of birth, and then they provided to me the last 4 digits of my debit card and a list of transactions on my card that they wanted to verify. They never asked for my account number or any additional personal information (other than what I mentioned above), and the transactions that they verified were all actually me paying for things, so they had to have real access to my account. It is possible to spoof caller-id, so my recommendation is that when in doubt, let them leave a voice mail and then return the call, but in my experience the call was a legitimate call.

When I go the call, I called Customer Services. I had received a call from Card Services to verify my last 5 charges. Customer services verified that this is a legitimate number.

Called me about a suspicious activity on my Fidelity Card. This account is inactive. I then called Fidelity. They had no record of any attempt of a charge on this account. Personally, think this is a scam.

I received a message 800-337-3392 and they left a callback number 888-230-1570. It seemed like a scam so I called the number on the back of my Fidelity credit card instead. My credit card company said that they did in fact call me and they needed to verify a recent transaction. So if you receive a call from this number I would suggest calling the number on the back of your credit card.

I didn't call the number they had left, but I called the number on the back of my Fidelity Debit card. There was indeed an alert since this was the first time i had used my debit card in 5 months (I don't use cash much). If worried, i would do what others have suggested and call the bank directly with an officially published customer service number.
