Called saying they were from American Express customer complaints, looking for a relative (thinking my number was theirs). Once I told them this was the wrong number, they hung up.

This is most definitely a scam call. They said they were from fraud department of AmEx, and knew just enough to make me wonder, yet I gave no info and they gave me a bogus birthdate, so I hung up and called my CC company and they advised it was not them or their fraud dept.

Called and left several messages before we blocked the number. Claimed to be from American Express, and that it was not a marketing call. But the caller said it was important and that we must return the call.
