I got a VM, which was a robocall. Since I didn't pick up, I guess it wasn't a live person. It was the Dept of the Treasury telling me I had committed a huge tax fraud (guilty with no chance to prove myself innocent) and I had to immediately call back. There was a warrant out for my arrest, and I would be arrested if I didn't call. It freaked out my wife, but I recently heard about this scam on NPR. As a convenience, they left the number twice: 972-357-3068. After we Googled the number, my wife calmed down. I wish she hadn't deleted the VM.
Definitely Fraud. Same as above on the details. I kept calling them just so I was a nuisance. After the third time they answered as if they were a pizza delivery. I had my whole family listening on speaker phone and we all cracked up laughing. They hung up.
I was called on 06/06/16 @ 12:51 PM (EST) stating she was from US Treasury Dept.- Badge No. 9165, Forney, TX. and I'm being charged with fraud. If I don't call 1-972-357-3068 today, she will proceed with court action in Federal Court. This call came in on my land Line phone.
Received call advising that there are tax fraud charges against me and that I'll be arrested if I ignore the call! Bunch of scammers, IRS will never call and leave such messages!
Just got a call m yself--called them back from a different phone number--THAT really messes them up! Told him if if was such an important IRS matter that there should be another way to access my file than by the phone number!!! Guy hung up!!
